Imo State Internal Revenue Service (IIRS), an operational arm of Imo State Board of Internal Revenue Service is the major funding arm of the Imo State Government empowered by the Imo State Revenue Administration Law (ISRAL) to collect taxes levies and other revenues due to the State. Over the years, IIRS has increased the State’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) by executing and implementing strategies which have positively impacted revenue generation and collection. IIRS continues to position itself as a major funding arm of the state government by optimizing and restructuring strategies that will ensure voluntary compliance and collection of the proper amount of revenue.

JUNE CHIAKA LEVI-OGUIKE

Chiaka Levi-Oguike took over the mantle of leadership of the Imo State Internal Revenue Service on the 23rd day of September 2022. She had her educational background in the UK, where she bagged a first degree in business economics and finance and a Master's degree in International Commercial Law. She has ample experience working in the investment banking industry, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), KPMG Professional Services, among others. She is grounded with wealth of experience.
A seasoned trainer and consultant, June Chiaka Levi-Oguike is a Ph.D. Research Fellow with the UR/CST-World Bank ACE Project and a registered professional with the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). She was former Special Assistant on Internally Generated Revenue to the Imo State Governor, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma. Under her leadership, the IIRS has witnessed extensive reforms, restructuring, optimization, and many other achievements.
